How and Why Carlos Got His Simulator?
At least Carlos Sainz’s home simulator has arrived. The list of professional drivers entering the world of sim racing is getting longer once again, for fun of course, but also for training, especially for professionals as it offers the possibility to turn on the track even in the winter months, when in fact the racetracks are impassable. As the video made by Motorsport shows us, it is Carlos Sainz who immediately received the call of the virtual track!
The Spanish Formula 1 driver of the McLaren team, thanks to the collaboration of his partner Lando Norris, who for some time, together with Max Verstappen, has been a very passionate virtual driver, has had a driving simulator installed and configured with top peripherals and iRacing as software, to also try the sim driver career …
As Carlos tells us “many think that the drivers are super busy and it’s true, but it’s also true, that there are the winter months in which we have a lot of free time between training sessions” he adds “I spoke to Lando and we decided that I took this step in my career “
Who Installed Carlos Home Simulator?
Carlos has installed a Cool Performance simulator, a company with which Lando has an excellent relationship. “I wanted the same setup as Lando. We are teammates, and we drive the same car, I want the same setup with the simulator, so we can compete with each other on equal terms” when asked how he would use his new simulator Domestic Carlos replies: “especially driving when you have nothing to do”.
